Santa Barbara Unified School District is currently recruiting for a Behavior Intervention Specialist to work within our Special Education department. This position is 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, 10 months out of the school year, and the first day of work will be 8/8/22. We will begin interviewing soon so please apply if interested! Classified Job Description Title: Behavior Intervention Specialist/Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Salary Schedule Range: 73 Hourly rate: $49.79 to $63.96 DOE Purpose of Position: To provide behavior analysis and behavior management plans for special education students enrolled in educational programs, and to provide support and professional learning to school site staff, paraeducators, and parents/guardians in appropriate behavior intervention techniques Reports To: An assigned supervisor; can include a Program Facilitator and/or SPED Director Employment Status: Full-time (FLSA non-exempt) Location: Special Education Department - will work on various school sites within district.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience working as a behavior or autism specialist. Additional Requirements: Valid California Class C driver’s license. Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification (BCBA). ABA or similar research-based experience and training. Bilingual fluency in Spanish desirable.
