Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for an Executive Director Curriculum and Instruction in the Learning and Leadership Services Division. The Curriculum and Instruction department provides innovative, high-quality programmatic support, leadership and direct services to schools, districts, community providers, and families. The Executive Director will lead the work of the department by collaborating with internal and external personnel to coordinate programs, exchange information, assess the needs of schools/districts/families serviced, and support adult learning to affect change that empowers all students to learn, achieve, and succeed. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for July 27-28.
Requirements / Qualifications
CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Administrative Services Credential Valid California Teaching Credential Valid CA Driver’s License EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a master's degree in education, education administration, or a closely related field and five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in an educational setting, including supervisory or administrative experience with coordinating curricula and instructional programs and services, working effectively with teachers and administrators at all levels. Experience leading equity, diversity, inclusion, and/or cultural competency initiatives required.
