Job Summary
Data Networking Specialist position provides a variety of remote Level 1-3 technical support services for clients related to the operation, administration and remediation of network hardware, operating systems, applications and network services. This position is responsible for resolving cases and trouble tickets that are escalated beyond the Tier 1-2 Support capability as well as mentoring team members. This hybrid position has daily interface with clients of varying technical knowledge as well as 3rd-party vendors and is focused on providing high-quality support and remediation services.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Monitor, respond to, and resolve requests for technical assistance received through ServiceNow, as well as tickets which are escalated to us from various Support personnel.
• Perform analysis, troubleshooting and problem resolution when possible within a variety of network environments.
• Resolve advanced issues and tickets that are escalated from lower-level Support personnel.
• Assist with training and mentoring of Level 1-2 Support Personnel.
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Exchange hybrid environment.
• Advance knowledge on VMWare, Commvault, Azure & Google architecture.
• Advance Knowledge on Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall.
• Utilize and maintain the various 3rd party on-premises and cloud applications.
• Must be able to learn quickly, work independently with or without direct supervision and function effectively in a team environment.
• Must understand the remote support and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and peripheral equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop/Server OS (domain environment), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Firewall Security & Storage/SANs.
• Knowledge of standard Microsoft Productivity Applications such as Microsoft Office, Teams and Outlook. Familiarity with all major web browsers including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari and Mozilla Firefox.
• Working knowledge of Apple operating systems.
• Working knowledge of various hosted applications such as Google’s G-Suite and Microsoft’s Office 365.
Must attach proof of equivalent to graduation from two-year college and three years experience above the trainee level in data processing systems study, design and programming, of which at least one year must be in the area of data networking. ***Foreign degrees, transcripts and diploma must be evaluated for its equivalency to a diploma/degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States high school, college or university.
