3.5 hour shift available. Benefits are available to all employees that work 4+ hours a day. ( can combine positions) Vision, Dental , medical and *Retirement - *The District participates in California Public Employees’ Retirement System. Any employee that works a regular schedule of 4 hours or more per day or exceeds 1,000 hours per year is automatically enrolled in Cal Pers.

Requirements / Qualifications

Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from an accredited Vocational Nurses Training program and one year related experience. Licenses and Certificates Valid California driver's license. Current valid California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. **MUST upload license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.**

Requires the ability to perform all aspects of the position. Must be able and willing to travel to various school sites within the District and perform a wide variety of nursing duties. Maintain a healthy and safe environment for children to learn. Record data and information. Assist in screening students for vision, hearing, scoliosis and head lice. Establish files, records, reports and referrals. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field. Work independently with little direction. Prioritize and schedule work. Maintain work pace appropriate to given work load. Must be able to recognize certain communicable diseases. Must be able to perform urgent first-aid. Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, other staff, parents, and students in a courteous manner, reflecting positively on the District. Must be able to protect confidentiality of student information.
