Requirements / Qualifications

Under the general supervision and direction of the designated administrator(s), assist in the development of curriculum materials and individualized lessons involving related career technical and technology skill areas; plan and implement the instructional program and provide related educational services; assess and evaluate student achievements at the secondary level; promote, by his/her action, the qualities of good citizenship, cooperative attitude, responsible conduct, good work habits, initiative, and appropriate attire as deemed by his/her immediate supervisor; participate in other curricular and instructional duties to support the program.

Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s Degree, including all courses to meet credential requirements; or graduation from high school and five years of skilled and semi-skilled experience in the related career technical pathway. Prior teaching experience preferred. Possession of a valid California teaching credential in the appropriate career technical field or ability to obtain proper credential. The focus is in careers in criminal justice. Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD) or BCLAD certification, or certificate authorizing services to limited English proficient students. Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license. The successful candidate must be cleared by the Department of Justice prior to employment as required by law.
