POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, the Director of Curriculum Integration and Educational Partnerships will:
- Assist in the oversight of: the revision of the Local Control Accountability Plan; alignment of assessments, curriculum, and instruction to Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and other content standards
- Provide assistance with community outreach efforts, and coordinate input opportunities for community groups and organizations seeking equity for diverse populations
- Provide support and training to special education and/or general education staff members, and site administrators in the areas of: curriculum and standards alignment, instructional practices (UDL, etc.), Professional Learning Communities, interventions, IEP development, and compliance with laws, rules and regulations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the development and completion of annual Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) requirements
- Assist site administrators and district leadership in the pursuit of community connections that can create increased curricular possibilities for students
- Organize frequent opportunities for community participation in the development of the LCAP
- Act as an outreach liaison for hard-to-reach families
- Assist in the mass communication of policy and program information to staff, parents, and community members
- Engage community groups and organizations in collaboration opportunities seeking equity for diverse populations
- Utilize social media, surveys and other communication resources to actively seek stakeholder feedback and organize community outreach activities
- Represent the District in the community
- Conduct research and analysis related to LCAP metrics, State 5x5 progress, and monitoring of significant student group progress
- Assist site administrators in efforts to monitor LCAP metrics and State 5x5 progress
- Assist with standards alignment efforts in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, reporting, and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
- Assist site administrators with the implementation of Student Support Teams (SSTs) and Response to Intervention (RtI)
- Assist site administrators and district leadership in pursuing grant opportunities - especially those related to the increased achievement of significant student groups
- Participate in district committees and teams as requested by district leadership (LCAP, CIP, AAAG, DELAC, C&I, Technology, Principal’s PLCs, AC, etc.)
- Assist and support district leadership, site administrators and staff with compliance to applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and policies (Title I, FPM, CDE, OCR, IEPs/504s, LCAP, PLCs,)
- Organize staff development and training for administrative, instructional and support personnel throughout the District, especially in the area of English Language Development, ELPAC testing, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, Educational Benefit, behavioral interventions, general education participation and classroom management
- Assists with the coordination and monitoring of the English Language Learner program for maximum student achievement
- Assist with the facilitation and monitoring of Teaching and Learning Teams
- Provide Universal Design for Learning (UDL) support for both instructional and support personnel
- Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and protocols for efficient program functioning for both special education and general education
- Assess, report, and make recommendations relating to the effectiveness of services and alternative programs
- Can be called upon to be an administrative designee for IEP meetings and other settings
- Oversee Summer Science Academy, CARES ESY (Extended School Year) and Mojave Summer Credit Retrieval programs
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALING:
- Valid California Administrative Services Credential; valid California teaching credential
- Master’s Degree preferred, or Bachelor Degree with five (5) years’ experience in an educational setting
EXPERIENCE:
- Five (5) years of successful experience as a teacher and/or administrator
- Experience with coordinating LCAP and Federal Program Monitoring-related activities and requirements
- Experience with coordinating district curriculum projects including the alignment of standards, curriculum, and assessments
- In-depth experience and knowledge of the development and implementation of special education program IEPs
- In-depth experience and knowledge of PBIS strategies and implementation
- A history of demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication
- Experience creating and effectively delivering staff development programs
- Managerial and organizational skills
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work in a paper and digital office environment using typical office machines, computers and software programs and other electronic and paperless systems
- Ability to enter, manipulate, extract and interpret data
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret psychology and/or medical reports, IEPs, Education Code, Board Policy and related governmental regulations
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written forms
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and managerial skills
- Must have a good sense of time management
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with administrators, teachers and other staff members
- Must have a demonstrated ability to foster cooperative relationships between staff, students, and parents
- Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, honesty, ethics, confidentiality and professionalism
- Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver’s license, and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage and have the ability to drive to various school sites and meeting locations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- TB test and maintain TB-free status
- Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations
- Ability to see for the purpose of reading printed matter
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels
- Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation
- Ability to bend and twist, sit, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and crawl
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to carry 25 pounds
- Ability to reach in all directions and assist physically challenged students
