Job Summary

Job Summary

Applicants must hold or qualify to hold a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher. To qualify for permit the applicant must have a minimum of 12 semester units of early childhood/child development/Infant Toddler. Also including at least one course in each of the following core areas: Child/Human Growth and Development; Child, Family and Community, or Child and Family Relations; Programs/curriculum. Current CPR and First Aid certification cards. English/Spanish bilingual preferred.

Requirements / Qualifications

The person in this position needs to have experience with family-focused approach services, early childhood assessment and curriculum, lesson plan development for preschool children; the ability to team teach and consult with colleagues and preschool teachers in community-based preschools. Need to be in good physical condition which allows for sitting on the floor with children, able to do lifting, toileting, and effective feeding techniques. Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance that meets the required amount of coverage for reimbursement and be willing to travel to different sites in Napa County depending on the needs and challenges of the program.
