About the Employer
Mt Baldy School is a single-school district located in the village of Mt Baldy located twelve minutes out of Upland, California. Mt Baldy is part of the San Gabriel Mountain range approximately 50 miles northeast of Los Angeles, California. The school has an average enrollment of about 100 students, TK through 8th grade. Approximately 70% of our student body attends school with inter-district attendance permits (parents live outside Mt Baldy's attendance boundaries). Our school has historically scored well on standardized tests, and although we value the information these assessments provide, we believe in multiple measures to assess student learning and progress toward goals.

Job Summary
Mt. Baldy Joint Elementary School District (MBJESD) has identified three components in the workings of our district: Instruction/Curriculum/Assessment support, Teacher/Staff support, and helping with school operations that impact student learning. The TOSA assists the administrator(s) in the daily functions that are necessary to provide a safe, positive and effective learning environment for students and staff. The TOSA will also be given opportunities to enhance teacher professional development to better support student learning. This position is part time with compensation not to exceed $72,000.00 per school year.

The successful candidate will have a current, valid, California Teaching Credential. Knowledge and understanding of child development, effective instructional and assessment strategies and teaching methods are highly desireable qualities for this position. As this is a combination classroom, the ability to differentiate is crucial.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience and Licenses: • Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and/or Single Subject Teaching Credential with CLAD certification required. • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required. • Minimum five years teaching experience. • Master’s degree desired. • Experience in development and implementation of district-wide curriculum programs desired. • Multi-age and multi-grade teaching experience desired. • Valid California Driver’s license.
