  • Copy of Transcript (Unofficial copy is okay! Must be for your BA and show the completion date of your degree.)
  • Credential Copy (To obtain your Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit, please make an appointment with the Orange County Department of Education 714-966-4000. If you are in the process of obtaining this permit, upload a document stating so and title it "Permit" or "Credential.")
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (- minimum one required, up to three allowed.)
  • Other (Basic Skills Requirement document(s), such as CBEST results, qualifying score on the SAT or ACT, or whatever document you submitted when you obtained your 30 Day Permit.)

This posting is only available for Student Teachers during the duration of their student teaching assignment. Student Teachers may only sub for their Mentor Teacher. A completed online application is required of all applicants to be considered for this opening. Applications will be automatically rejected if you attach a driver’s license, High School Diploma, or any document with a photo of yourself and/or indicating your age. All substitute teachers will need to obtain fingerprint clearance through the Orange County Department of Education. If you have not done so already, you may call 714-966-4300 to make an appointment.
