Southlands Christian Schools is seeking a full-time High School Social Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is a skilled and thoughtful educator who enjoys working with high school students, has strong content knowledge in history and social science, and wants to contribute to a collaborative Christian school community. Candidates should be interested in teaching as part of a community of Christian educators who think, teach, mentor, and collaborate within a religious private school context. Potential Courses Depending on background, experience, and school needs, teaching assignments may include: AP Government and Economics Government and Economics U.S. History World History SDAIE history/social science courses Additional AP or college-preparatory social science courses
Requirements / Qualifications
1. California Single Subject or Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Preferred 2. Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred 3. Current TB test or TB risk assessment (within 4 years) 4. Livescan fingerprinting required 5. Current CA Mandated Reporter Certificate 6. 2+ Years of Experience is a plus
