THE POSITION: The Project Director III, CCR/AVID Unit shall provide the Unit’s leadership and overall coordination, including supervision of coordinators, support staff and certificated contract consultants, program budget management, technical, and functional supervision regarding College and Career Readiness and AVID. The Project Director III will plan, organize, develop and implement services for Local Education Agencies and monitor, evaluate and adjust support in response to client needs. The Project Director III for CCR/AVID will develop and monitor budgets, conduct professional development and serve as liaison with AVID Center.
Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five or more years of comprehensive, directly related experience including at least five years of educational administrative experience in the specific project area at school, district and/or county level. Eligibility to serve as AVID District Director per AVID Center requirements (including completion of AVID District Leadership training). Experience as a staff developer for AVID Center Summer Institute, DIGITAL XP, ELEVATE and/or PATH training. Education: Equivalent to a Master’s degree in education or a closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Teaching Credential website with the document number on it.): • Possess and maintain a valid California Teaching Credential • Possess and maintain a valid California Administrative Services Credential

Under Superintendent Policy 4060, COVID-19 Vaccination, the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) requires that all LACOE employees, including substitute employees, temporary office workers, hourly/part-time employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An individual is considered “fully vaccinated” when at least two weeks have passed since that individual’s receipt of the second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson and Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
