Job Summary
The Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development (OCIPD) plays a critical role in the day-to-day support of Long Beach Unified teachers. The Elementary Literacy Coach works under the direction of the OCIPD Program Administrator and with staff and schools, to train and support site literacy teams at selected Elementary and K-8 schools. The coach supports site teams to provide effective literacy instruction and interventions through curriculum design/ development; program implementation; and professional development, including coaching. Applicants must hold a clear Multiple Subjects credential or an Educational Specialist Mild to Moderate, Moderate to Severe Teaching credential.
