THE POSITION: The Elementary Mathematics Coordinator II shall provide technical, specialized, consultative, advisory, planning and supervisory services for county-wide Mathematics programs and projects; plan, design, and deliver Mathematics professional learning programs; participate in the development of strategic operational plans and program activities; plan, organize, develop, recommend, and evaluate programs, processes, and procedures; serve as a resource to Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and LACOE in the area of mathematics; monitor legislation and provide interpretation and guidance; coordinate, monitor and review project services with local, County, State, and Federal agencies; build and maintain regional networks of math leaders; assist LEAs in ways to implement the California Math Standards and California Mathematics Framework.
Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Three years of comprehensive, directly related, and progressive experience in education administration. Including three years of professional development experience in the field of mathematics instruction, teacher education or professional development (including local, regional, and state conferences). Education: Equivalent to a Master’s degree in education, or closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Multi Subject teaching Credential and Clear Administrative Credential. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Teaching Credential website with the document number on it.) (1) Possess or be eligible to possess and maintain a valid Administrative Credential. (2) Possess and maintain a Multi Subject Teacher Credential with English Learner Authorization (CLAD, BCLAD, or equivalent).

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement for All Los Angeles County Office of Education Employees
