Please note that we have one long-term sub position to cover maternity leave. The start date is 8/16/2022 through December, with the possibility of extending. Those interested in this position but hold a different credential or permit type may apply but must have the following: A degree major in liberal studies or 40-semester units including 10-semester units of course work in each of at least four of the following subject areas or at least 10-semester units of course work in each of three of the subject areas and an additional 10-semester units in a combination of two of the remaining subject areas. Subject areas include language studies, history, literature, humanities, mathematics, the arts, science, physical education, social science, and human development. AND ANY teaching credential (that required student teacher and a teacher prep program) and 1 year of full-time experience (or part-time equivalent experience) working with special education students (experience as a special education aide is acceptable) OR Must be willing to apply for the Teaching Permit for Statutory Leave, otherwise known as the TPSL (100 dollar fee) TPSL Requirements: 45 hours of Teaching Permit for Statutory Leave (TPSL) preparation as determined by the Local Employing Agency This may be obtained for those that have obtained 45 hours in a credential program Or via the following online coursework: https://www.vcoe.org/Credentialing/Programs/tpsl you may work on this within your first 20 days on assignment (200 dollar fee) Must be willing to apply for the TPSL (100 dollar fee)
