Science Gr. 5-8 St. Martin of Tours School is seeking to recruit a dedicated and passionate science teacher for grades 5-8. SMT is committed to providing students with a rigorous Catholic education that embraces the whole child. We seek teachers who have a strong academic background, enthusiasm for working with young people, and a talent for engaging and helping students to grow academically. Ideal candidates should: desire to grow in faith and knowledge among a community of lifelong learners; have experience as educators; possess a growth mindset and willingness to collaborate with others; have experience planning and implementing curriculum; be willing to provide hands-on science experiences; have experience managing a classroom for student success; possess strong written and oral communication skills; be able to work in partnership with the school administration and parents as the primary educators of their children. Overview

St. Francis of Assisi school is looking for a part-time Science teacher who is able to work 20 hours a week in a unique & innovative learning environment. This science teacher will be charged with incorporating inquiry-based as well as STEM learning into the science curriculum. We are looking for a creative and dynamic teacher who makes science tangible for students and who can collaboratively work with his/her colleagues.

Qualifications

Bachelors required. MA & credentials preferred. 1-2 years Teaching experience with NGSS knowledge preferred. Science background a must! STEM knowledge preferred. PM availability preferred.
