Requirements / Qualifications
Requires a Single Subject Teaching Credential - Chemistry We accept out of state applicants looking to relocate to the San Fernando Valley if applicants have started the research and compilation of required documents for the process of converting their professional-level credential from another state. https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/out-of-state-app Applications from Intern Eligible applicants are accepted but must be accompanied by a letter from the applicant's university on official letterhead indicating that the candidate is in fact intern eligible, with an anticipated effective date for when the applicant will be recommended to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the university for the Single Subject Intern Credential. Applications from applicants who are currently in a credentialing program and are intended to graduate and receive their teaching credential upon graduation in the months of May, June or July are accepted but must be accompanied by a letter from the applicant's university on official letterhead indicating that the candidate is in fact on board to graduate from the credentialing program, with an anticipated effective date for when the applicant will be recommended to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the university for the Single Subject Credential
Along with you application you must submit the following: Cover letter Resume Three recent letters of recommendation Copies of any credentials Copy of CBEST scores (California Basic Education Skills Test or basic exam scores from another state - See https://www.ctc.ca.gov/ for CBEST Out of State Guide Copy of CSET tests (if applicable) Proof/Copy of EL Authorization Copies of transcripts If you are missing these documents, you will not be screened in.
