Job Summary

St. Lucy’s Priory High School is a private Roman Catholic High School for women, grades 9-12 located in Glendora, CA. Students come from 55 middle schools in San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys. Essential responsibilities include: * Meeting with families, primarily juniors and seniors and their parents to individually guide them through the transition from high school to college and assisting them in finding the right “fit”. * Educating families about colleges, the college admission process, trends, procedures and testing. * Writing a letter of recommendation for each senior and submitting all necessary documents. * Providing academic planning and advisement throughout students’ high school program. * Assisting students with writing essays, completing applications, and preparing for interviews. * Participating in group presentations to parents, students, faculty, and administration. * Assisting with the PSAT and AP examination administrations. * Facilitating course updates for the University of California and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). * Meeting with college admission representatives during their visit to our campus and facilitating meetings between college representatives and our students. Serving as a liaison with college admission offices throughout the year. * Keeping up to date on colleges, their admission processes, admissions trends, and visiting college campuses. * Tracking admissions data, maintaining records on students and other related statistics for internal purposes. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in education, counseling, communications or related field preferred. * Demonstrated experience and skill in counseling individual students and well-developed interpersonal communication skills; and the ability to present to large audiences. * Excellent written and organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. * Strong interest in helping students and their families navigate the col
