Winston Preparatory School is searching for a dedicated full-time Content and Focus Teacher at its San Rafael, CA campus. This position has immediate openings with salaries starting at $35 hourly for qualified candidates. Winston Preparatory School is a day school for 4th - 12th grade students with learning differences such as dyslexia, nonverbal learning challenges and executive functioning problems. Our unique educational program is designed to challenge each students’ strengths and to develop essential skills tailored to the individual. This position includes two aspects: Teaching Content like Math, Science, or Literature in a classroom setting (3-8 students), and teaching Focus to individual students in a one-to-one setting. All teachers are allotted break time and prep time in their daily schedules.

The successful candidate is a highly skilled teacher, preferably with Literature & Writing teaching experience. We are looking for a professional yet creative thinker who is flexible, dependable, and thrives in a team environment. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential. The nature of this position allows for someone with a diverse background– our current staff includes social workers, reading specialists, speech therapists, learning specialists, school psychologists, and former lawyers.
