Job Summary

Pleasant Valley serves 6,000 Pre-K - 8th-grade students within 11 schools across our community. To serve as the educational leader and chief executive of the school; to be responsible for the direction of the instructional program, operation of the school plant, participation in staff and student activities, and community leadership. Assure all students are supervised in a safe, child-centered learning environment that meets and exceeds the Common Core State Standards. Achieving academic excellence requires that the principal work collaboratively to lead and nurture all school staff members and communicate routinely and effectively with parents, members of the community, and the District office. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for planning, curriculum development, co-curricular activities, human resource management, financial management, emergency procedures, resource scheduling, and facilities operations.
