Location: District Office - Business Services Work hours: 8:00 am – 12:00pm, 4 hours per day 12 months
Requirements / Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic accounting principles. Bookkeeping principles, practices and terminology. Organizing and checking/cross-checking records and data to assure accurate accounts information. Oral and written communication skills. Correct English usage, grammar, composition and vocabulary. Operation of a computer terminal, data entry techniques, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Principles of staff and public relations. Modern office practices, procedures and equipment. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Collective bargaining agreements.
ABILITY TO: Check and input payroll/fringe benefits information efficiently and accurately. Apply procedures and operate equipment. Make arithmetic calculations accurately. Total and balance payroll with County Office of Education-Payroll Department. Balance district’s vendor accounts. Prepare payroll and fringe benefits reports Keyboard at 50 wpm. Operate a personal computer and related software to enter data, maintain records and general reports. Operate calculator/adding machine efficiently. Prioritize and schedule work. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Once application has been submitted, you may be contacted to schedule a date and time for a district proficiency exam.
