THE POSITION

The Educational Services Division is now accepting applications for Disability Services Specialist.

Under the direction of assigned Manager, coordinates and analyzes the birth to five program to ensure compliance with the Head Start and Early Start program mandates related to disability services and the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework for children with Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs); writes and revises disability service plans; provides training and support to home visiting, family child care and center based staff and parents; monitors program effectiveness to assure compliance and provisions of services for children with disabilities. This position is full-time and has a work year of 12 months, 261 days, 8 hours per day.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES Assessments and interviews will take place virtually via Zoom Meetings. Our procedures reflect social distancing guidelines of the Santa Clara County Office of Public Health. The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a written exam, tentatively scheduled for TBD. Those who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in a panel interview with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for TBD. Based on the final scores of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list. Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for TBD.
