Job Summary
ROP is seeking a Digital Video Production teacher. The Digital Video Production course explores the theory and application of the world of digital video and film production. Students will learn the history and development of communication through film and have the opportunity through theory and hands-on training to produce their own films/videos by creating silent films, documentary films, music videos, Public Service Announcements (PSA) and news segments. Students will learn to use industry standard software to create films and videos. Integrated throughout the course are CTE standards which include basic academic skills, communication, career planning, technology, problem solving, safety, responsibility, ethics, teamwork, and technical knowledge. Students will also collaborate to write, storyboard, shoot original video content and edit projects using industry standard software. Proficient use of office equipment including a computer utilizing the Windows 10 operating system and assigned software applications including MS Office 2010 Suite, Adobe Creative Suite 6, and other industry-related is preferred. Experience with a public school is desirable.
