MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    Valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential with authorization:  School Psychologist.

DESCRIPTION:       The School Psychologist is a credentialed professional with specialized knowledge regarding social, emotional, cognitive, physical, language, academic and psychomotor forces in children which affect the learning process.  The School Psychologist provides services to children, parents, teachers, administrators, paraprofessional staff, community agencies, and the school system through a variety of special and unique methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES:          Psychoeducational assessment; knowledge of Federal, State and District timelines and procedures.          

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:           Vision sufficient to read printed materials; hearing and speech sufficient to conduct normal in-person and telephone conversations; mobility sufficient to efficiently perform the duties of the position.  Should be able to lift 50 pounds.  (Consideration may be given to reasonable accommodation for above.)
