
Program Coordinator - Early Learning and Educational Support at San Luis Obispo County Office of Education
Job Summary
Job Summary
Plan, organize, coordinate and implement the operations, activities, educational services and support functions of assigned programs, including but not limited to the Early Learning Centers, for Early Learning and Educational Support (ELES). This includes the management and implementation of action items and activities within Quality Counts California (QCC), including the design and coordination of early learning professional development. The coordinator will also assist in assuring related activities comply with established standards, licensing, requirements, laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required: * Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or other related field and five or more years of work experience in early childhood development, education or social services field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Director level Child Development Permit * Strong administrative capabilities, including computer database management. * Experience in community collaboration. * Demonstrated grant writing abilities. * Training and marketing abilities; leadership skills, public speaking experience. * Problem-solving ability, specifically related to project implementation. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Desired * Base knowledge of Desired Results and Classroom Learning Assessment and Scoring System (CLASS) * Experience with or understanding of the needs of English Language Learners and Special Needs students * Exceptional ability to work effectively with people representing diverse cultures. * Administrative Services Credential
