THE POSITION: The job of Director I-District Advisory Services is done for the purpose/s of providing guidance and assistance to school districts and other educational agencies on a variety of matters related to accounting, budgeting, forecasting and sound business operations as well as compliance with various statutory requirements. This job reports to Assigned Administrator. LOCATION: 313 W. Winton Ave. Hayward, CA 94544 TYPICAL DUTIES: Analyzes reviews and recommends the approval or certification of financial reports (e.g. annual budgets, financial statements, reports for the Board, Superintendent, district administrators, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, filing reports, meeting compliance requirements, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions. Communicates with internal and external personnel (e.g. school district business officials, board, CBOs, other administrators, auditors, public agencies, community members, etc.) for the purpose of recommending actions, implementing procedures and/or maintaining services and programs. Compiles data from a variety of sources (e.g. staff, public agencies, school districts, etc.) for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with organization policies and procedures, and/or monitoring program components. Conducts internal audits and analysis of cash flows, fiscal trends, economic conditions and legislative updates (e.g. general and special funds, etc.) for ensuring program operations are within budget and in accordance with fiscal practices. Facilitates in meetings, workshops and seminars (e.g. budgeting, accounting, auditing, business issues, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. Maintains a wide variety of manual and electronic fiscal information, files and records for providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Accounting, Business, or related field.
