
Summer School Special Education - School Psychologist at Temple City Unified School District
Requirements / Qualifications
2022 Summer School Schedule: June 15 - July 31, 2022 (M-TH) 7:30 am - 12:30 pm (schedule may change) QUALIFICATIONS: • Appropriate California Pupil Personnel Services credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist • Assesses difficulties of referred students through appropriate testing and diagnostic practices • BCBA preferred • Administers tests and recommends placement for all exceptional students • Maintains case records on all referred students • Recommends corrective procedures • Conducts individual, group or facilitative therapy for children whose diagnosed problems require such intervention in order to be successful • Confers with teachers and parents whenever necessary • Consults on special educational needs • Attends and facilitates IEP’s and meetings • Attends case conferences on individual students • Prepares and submits required reports on assessed children and special education programs • Collaborates with special education classes • Cooperates with personnel of community health and social welfare agencies • Acts as liaison between the school and juvenile courts • Attends staff, professional and interagency meetings • Assists with in-service training of school personnel • Conducts appropriate research • Keeps abreast of new developments in the field • Proof of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training (www.mandatedreporterca.com)
