Summer Teaching Assistant - Science
Seeking Teaching Assistant to:
• help students with their understanding of biology as they work in groups prepare for labs
• set out materials at lab stations
• may be making comments and suggestions on in class assignments
• clean up after lab
Summer Teaching Assistant - English
Seeking Teaching Assistant to:
• support good reading skills in class
• ensure students are on task
• complete any reading assignments along with students
• assist with in-class writing evaluation:
• thesis statements structure and development of argument offering constructive feedback
• have a good understanding of essay writing elements
• have a good understanding of literature and the salient literary devices and analytical writing
• have one-on-one experience working with junior/high school students
• have familiarity with use of SHP office hours
• desire to empower struggling writers

• support good math calculation and problem solving skills in class

Seeking Program Assistant to:
• Accompany and help supervise students to field visits in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area
• Help coordinate program logistics including homestays, meals, field visits, and other program elements
