Job Description / Essential Elements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and experience working with middle school students. Responsibilities include planning and implementing innovative lessons aligned to standards; good communication skills; use of technology to support student learning; differentiated instruction to meet all learners’ needs; positive classroom management. The teacher would teach ELA/Lit to the 6th, 7th & 8th graders, and handle 6th grade homeroom business.
Requirements for Applying
• Bachelor’s degree • A teaching credential or working towards a teaching credential • Clear Health Screening and TB test • Pass Criminal Background Check • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and use of Google Drive and Classroom • Classroom teaching experience is preferable • A practicing Catholic is preferable since religion is one of the subjects taught.
