Job Summary
The Position: Experienced educators are hired as “Certificated Contracted Consultants” to teach graduate level coursework based on the Teacher Performance Expectations (TPEs) to District Intern Candidates. Instructors work with PreService candidates and/or District Intern teachers who are working towards earning preliminary teaching credentials through LACOE’s District Intern Program in the evening, while employed as the teacher of record.
Requirements / Qualifications
The applicant must have at least five years of teaching experience (on a valid Clear Credential) with recommendations/references. Applicants must possess one of the credentials/authorizations below in order to be eligible for the position; specialists/TOSA and experience teaching adults is preferred: * Multiple Subject * Single Subject * Education Specialist (Mild/Moderate) * Education Specialist (Moderate/Severe) * Early Childhood Special Education * Reading/Literacy Specialist or TOSA * Technology Specialist or TOSA * Pupil Personnel Services * ELD Specialist/TOSA

Under Superintendent Policy 4060, COVID-19 Vaccination, the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) requires that all LACOE employees, including substitute employees, temporary office workers, hourly/part-time employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
