Lead Teacher Job Overview and Responsibilities: The Lead Teacher/Early Childhood Educator is responsible for: -Planning the daily indoor and outdoor curriculum that offers supportive and stimulating learning experiences for the school children. -Adopting clear and consistent observation and documentation practices to support each student's learning process; curriculum and teacher research. -Maintaining strong and consistent lines of communication to the school community including staff and parents. -Providing positive behavioral guidance for children based on a co-learning approach through inquiry, research and reflective based practices. -Collaborating with and modeling effective and responsible teaching practices for teaching assistants. - Commitment to professional development and continued education through collaboration, workshops, training, research and reading.
