Summer Part-Time English High School Teacher PA College Prep cultivates our students' natural abilities by offering small classes, individualized learning options, frequent advisement meetings, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary teaching. PA College Prep is looking to fill a Part-Time High School English teaching position for our summer program. Job Description Teach grades 6-12 in English (applicant should be qualified to teach grades 6-12th grade, but may only be instructed to teach single grade classes or a combination class (e.g., 7th and 8th grade). Duties and Responsibilities · Create teaching strategies that will keep students engaged and encourage class participation · Plan and develop lessons that reflect the curriculum · Plan and present lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of English concepts · Adapt curriculum for small group instruction · Assign homework and give and grade tests · Assess student performance and behavior to determine if they are learning at an acceptable level and pace · Contact parents with concerns or issues relating to their child, submit reports to administrators Requirements · Bachelor's Degree · 2 Years of Teaching Experience as a high school Teacher or Teacher Aide · Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills · Applicants should be energetic and enthusiastic, displaying a high level of tolerance, patience, and support · Should be comfortable interacting with those of various backgrounds and professional levels, from parents to school administrators Summer Work Schedule Date: 06/06/2022-08/05/2022 Days: M, W, F Time: 10 am-12 pm
