Requirements / Qualifications
This position is responsible for supporting school districts and charter schools for the SELPA/Charter SELPA programs, to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The Program Specialist will be responsible for supporting schools in their endeavor to provide quality services and programs to students with special needs. Essential Duties: Program Specialist will provide technical assistance, training, and support to schools in implementing special education support and services for students with disabilities. The following position requires providing direct, in person support to LEA charters in the Bay Area Region. Home office required. Periodic travel to SELPA/Charter SELPA office in Placerville, CA required as well.
Required Qualifications: ~ Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Special Education with experience in the classroom or 5 years’ experience in inclusive education and inclusive teaching ~ Valid Special Education Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential or California Administrative Services Credential or Master’s Degree in education or related field with a valid California credential and 5 years of successful experience in education. Desired Qualifications: ~ Master's Degree ~ Administrative Experience Please include the following along with a completed application:
