Job Summary

Job Summary

The job of Special Education Teacher/Mild-Moderate was established for the purpose/s of providing support for the instructional program for students with special needs; pertinent information and consultant services to staff members and parents on student assessments and progress monitoring; ongoing planning with regular classroom teachers; and promoting and supporting the school Student Study Team.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience Required: Minimum of two years of providing specialized academic instruction to students with disabilities in multiple grade levels is preferred. Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in job related field; Special Education Credential authorizing service to mild/moderate handicapped students. Must be able to meet highly-qualified teacher requirements as required by the No Child Left Behind Act EL Authorization

  • Copy of Transcript (copy of degree or college transcript verifying degree awarded)
  • Credential Copy (copy of valid California Teaching Credential authorizing service to mild/moderately handicapped students)
  • English Learner Authorization
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (three letters of recommendation are required)
  • Resume
