We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Adult Education/Non-credit Programs to serve our campuses district wide. Under the general direction of the Dean of Instruction, Career Education and in consultation with Southwest Riverside Adult Education Consortia, the Director of Adult Education/Non-credit Programs plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates the adult education and non-credit programs; provides leadership and support to the adult education consortia to ensure that program goals, objectives, outcomes and deliverables are completed. This is an administrative position, exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, with responsibility for formulation and recommendation of district policies, regulations and budget decisions related to area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A Master's degree (attach transcripts); AND 2. One (1) year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience related to the assignment; AND 3. Three (3) years of experience with adult education programs, services, and needs in non-credit and/or adult education programs or in workforce development or economic development programs; AND 4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Administrative experience in adult education or non-credit programs and/or teaching experience in adult education or non-credit classes 2. Experience in building educational programs, creating both program capacity and program sustainability 3. Experience working in a business or industry or other local government agency 4. Knowledge of current issues and trends in business and industry regarding training and educational needs
