Job Summary

The Director of Admissions has primary responsibility for achieving the goals of the admissions for St. Lucy’s Priory by working with prospective students, their parents, and various school staff and administrators in the areas of recruitment, admissions, and direct marketing.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience • BA/BS; MA/MBA preferred • 5+ years’ experience in admissions preferred, preferably in an independent school, or previous experience directing marketing and sales programs

Essential Position Responsibilities Create and execute an admissions and retention plan that will achieve the school admissions goals by: o Identifying feeder schools, calendaring recruitment presentations, and representing St. Lucy’s Priory High School at feeder school functions o Managing and personalizing the admissions process for prospective families o Coordinating and leading campus tours, shadow days, interviews, etc. o Organizing, overseeing and attending events, such as Open House, shadow days, practice HSPT and HSPT testing, on- and off-campus receptions, Cub events, Tri-School meetings, and additional advancement events. o Drafting, preparing, and mailing (or emailing) correspondence for the Admissions Office; responding to calls and emails quickly and effectively o Managing Admissions website pages, application database and application, including update of application, recommendations, and supplement forms o Training, organizing, and scheduling a student ambassador group o Preparing decision day materials, including screening applications, recommendations, and transcripts and preparing data for committee o Coordinating introductory events for accepted class, ie: orientation day, new parent meeting o Preparing reports and statistics as required, and present to the board o Coordinate with social media to highlight admissions Model the values of and support the teachings of the Catholic Church Support building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment for all students, faculty and staff Other duties as assigned
