Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Executive Director or designee, the Performing and Fine Arts Academy Principal is the lead administrator of the academy and is responsible for the coordination of the academy's academic program and daily operations. Among the primary goals and key objective of the PFAA Academy Principal is to assure a safe and supportive learning environment for the academy’s students and staff. The Performing and Fine Arts Academy is a 6-12 grade program which specializes in providing all students a rich academic and artistic experience. The student population is racially, linguistically, and religiously diverse and serves many students and families who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. All students graduate from the program UC a-g eligible with extensive artistic training and the academy has a strong history of graduating students who are highly successful in multiple professional fields. Requirements / Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in a public and/or private school instructional setting with increasing responsibility in a program management/leadership position. Minimum of three years of experience with high school students. Required Education and Certifications: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. Graduate Degree is preferred. Appropriate California Teaching Credential, California Administrative Services Credential, Pupil Personnel Credential, and/or Certificate of Clearance.
