Job Summary
The job of the TK-12 English Language Development – Teacher on Special Assignment was established for the purpose of providing effective strategies and interventions for English Language Development for all school sites. Provide support to site administrators and teachers in the improvement of English Language Learners and English Language Development and dual language educational programs and strategies. Direct the development and implementation of a TK-12 English Language Development Instructional program aligned to the VCPUSD Board Goals and policies; Master Plan for English Learners, Local Control Accountability Plan; Title III; California Education Code. This job reports to the Director of Special Projects.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must possees appropriate California Teaching Credential with BCLAD.
Currently there is a requirement for all California school employees to either: 1. Submit proof of Covid Vaccination, or 2. Participate in weekly diagnostic Covid testing. If you are hired by Valley Center-Pauma Unified, you will have to comply with this while the requirement remains in effect. To apply, please submit the following: (1) Letter of Intent (2) Resume (3) Copy of credential(s) (4) Copy of transcripts (5) Three letters of reference. Additional Notes regarding salary placement: (1) Newly hired certificated employees will be given credit for up to seven years of full time credentialed public school experience, experience at an accredited college or university, or experience in an accredited private school, and full credit for approved college units. (2) Teachers with a credential that is based on a bachelors degree will start in Range I through V ($58,220 - $82,094) depending on the number of units they have passed the issuance of their Bachelor's degree. (3) District approved Master & Doctoral degrees will receive a $1,954 stipend annually.
