Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; Master's Degree with an emphasis in physical education preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of successful teaching experience is required working at the elementary and middle school levels and/or working as an Adapted PE Teacher. Credentials Required: * Valid California Prelim or Clear Single Subject PE Teaching credential with an added authorization in Adaptive Physical Education Specialist Authorization and EL authorization; or * Valid California Prelim or Clear Education Specialist Credential with an added authorization in Adaptive Physical Education Specialist Authorization and EL authorization. Note: Out of state Teaching Credential will not be considered.

A virtual assessment will be administered as part of the selection process. Must upload the required documents - upload the attachment named exactly as stated (i.e., Letter of Recommendation) or your application will not move forward in the selection process.

At Springs Charter Schools, we are serious about creating significantly better learning opportunities than are available within the traditional public school system. Under the general direction of a special education leadership team member, the qualified individual will implement an instructional program, which allows each student to achieve his/her individual education program objectives in the area of adapted physical education. The candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge and practical application of behavioral principles, practices, methods and strategies applicable to students with adapted physical education needs.
