Job Summary
Job Summary
Under direction administer audiometric tests to school-aged children according to the California Administrative Code and the State Manual for School Audiometrists; evaluate test results to determine need for further testing and for medical/audiological referral; promote hearing conservation awareness among parents, teachers and school staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: bachelor's degree, including three courses in audiometry as required by the State to obtain School Audiometrist certification, and some work experience as an Audiometrist. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: School Audiometrist Certificate; valid California driver's license.
All application materials must be submitted with a VCOE application as a complete package. A complete application package must include the following:
- Certificate Copy (Audiometrist Certificate )
- Certification (Bachelor's Degree (If Applicable) )
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 letters dated within the last 12 months [LETTERS MUST BE DATED]**)
- Resume
