Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Coordinator of Early Childhood Education, the State/IASA Preschool Teacher will implement the educational program for students in her/his Classroom. The primary function of the teacher (as written in the State Preschool Guidelines) is to conduct an educational program for preschool students to encourage and support intellectual, social, emotional and physical development, of the preschool child. The secondary function is to instruct parents in more effective parenting skills. FCUSD is seeking to build a team that is representative of our student body and community. Requirements / Qualifications
MUST POSSESS A VALID CALIFORNIA CHILD DEVELOPMENT MASTER TEACHER PERMIT, SITE SUPERVISOR PERMIT or PROGRAM DIRECTOR PERMIT - AA or higher with 24 ECE/Child Development Units - Current CPR and First Aid Certification - Letter of Introduction - Resume - A letter of recommendation (from a current supervisor) Credential(s): Possession of a valid California Child Development Teacher, Master Teacher Permit, and/or Site Supervisor Permit Education: A degree in child Development is desirable Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Compensatory Preschool class as well as instructional experience in other educational programs young children and parents is desirable
UPON CONDITIONAL OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT: - Department of Justice Criminal Background Check completed at the district office for a fee of $30. - TB Test (Valid for 4 years) - Complete district training as a Mandated Reporter, Covid 19 Training, and Sexual Harassment Training * VALID FIRST AID/CPR CERTIFICATION * IMMUNIZATIONS REQUIRED BY SB 792; INFLUENZA, PERTUSSIS AND MEASLES * STATE MANDATED PRESCHOOL FORMS, INCLUDING A HEALTH SCREENING COMPLETED BY A PHYSICIAN Pursuant to the State Public Health Officer Order of August 11, 2021 affecting all TK-12 public and private school employees, all Folsom Cordova Unified School District employees and substitutes are required to either provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing.
