May Center for Learning (www.maycenter.org) is excited to announce an opening for a Director of Enrollment, Advancement & Marketing (EAM). As an integral member of May Center’s professional leadership team, the Director of EAM will oversee three key areas of growth at May Center: program enrollment, development and fundraising, and marketing. As a recognized leader in the state of New Mexico and beyond for its reading and writing intervention programs for students with learning differences, teacher training programs, and state-wide advocacy, the new Director of EAM will help lead our organization into a new and exciting phase of growth as we expand our programming, build on the success of our school for children ages 3-14, and spearhead a future capital campaign.

May Center for Learning is located in beautiful and historic Santa Fe, New Mexico, an artistic mecca surrounded by mountains, mesas and hot springs offering unparalleled access to the outdoors for recreation, sport and rejuvenation.

In their capacity as head of program enrollment, the new director will oversee:

  • All aspects of student recruitment for May Center for Learning. This will include communicating with applicant families, managing and tracking admissions across programs, ensuring admissions assessments are performed, planning and organizing open houses, coordinating site tours, and other recruitment activities.
  • Create and implement the development, fundraising and public relations strategy for May Center for Learning, to include the annual fund campaign, Charidy matching campaign each spring, and a future capital campaign.
  • Create and implement communications strategies and marketing materials that will promote May Center’s programs and advance the objectives as set forth by the Executive Director and Board of Trustees.

Qualified candidates will possess at least 3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising and development and/or independent school admissions, as well as a minimum of a four-year degree. The ideal candidate will also possess at least two years’ experience in marketing and public relations. Potential candidates must show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 and undergo a background check prior to being selected.

May Center for Learning is an equal opportunity employer and provides a variety of employee benefits, including paid vacation, personal and sick leave, HRA and FSA, professional development and tuition reimbursement, and matching 401k. The salary range for this position will be $65,000-75,000.
