DEFINITION:   

Administers 1:1 Initial and Summative English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC), Speaking Domain only to grades 3-12 and all domains (Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing) to grades K-2. Initial ELPAC administration is from July - October and Summative ELPAC administration is from February- May.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Attends ELPAC Administration and Scoring Training. Completes state required Moodle tests for testing reliability. Commits to testing administration during the testing windows (Initial ELPAC: July-October, and Summative ELPAC: February- May). Follows testing protocols and navigates testing interfaces during administration. Ensures a safe, organized testing environment.  

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

Fluent in English. Knowledge of basic computer skills. 

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Must have an understanding of other cultures; an ability to work in a positive and productive manner with youth; an awareness of the education system; and an awareness of English Language Proficiency Assessments.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:

Demonstrate successful experience and successful completion of appropriate education and professional training that would assure a favorable completion of this job. This role can be filled by classified or certificated personnel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: significant manual dexterity, particularly to using chrome books. Sufficient hearing and speaking ability for normal voice level conversations and to hear and speak to be understood in indoor settings. Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 50% walking.
