Job Summary
Under the direction of the Special Education Director of Blue Ridge Academy, employee will provide Special Education Assessments to students enrolled in Blue Ridge Academy Independent Study programs. The Occupational Therapist serves as a member of the Blue Ridge Academy Team and will collaborate as well as consult with the team members. The Occupational Therapist-Registered (OTR) will help students improve their ability to participate in desired daily school activities. The OTR will assess students to determine if they require assistance in learning and developmental activities. The OTR assesses students who have conditions that are mentally, physically or developmentally disabling. As an employee of Blue Ridge Academy Charter Schools, follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the Personnel Handbook.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Must possess the appropriate license or certificate issued by the American Occupational Therapy Association and California Board of Occupational therapy (CBOT) which requires certification from the National Board of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). -Two years of experience in U.S. - 2 professional letters of reference
