• Three to five years successful senior level cabinet leadership • Master’s Degree or higher • Working knowledge of (and/or experience with ) K-8 programs • Principal experience preferred

The Alta Loma School District (ALSD) Board of Trustees is seeking a bold leader to serve as the district’s next Superintendent. Located in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, Alta Loma is one of four K-8 districts that feed into the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. While serving 5,580 students across 25 square miles, ALSD is known throughout the region for its strong instructional programs, 21st century facilities, and deep sense of family. As a top performing District in San Bernardino County, Alta Loma is viewed as a destination where learners are inspired for a lifetime.
LEADERSHIP PROFILE

• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and effectively counter misinformation.
• Rekindle staff morale.
• Remain culturally sensitive.
• Build leadership capacity and a sense of team.
• Skillfully navigate pressing needs (e.g. staffing, funding, student/staff mental health)
• Work effectively with the Board of Trustees.
SELECTION PROCESS
The Board of Trustees has retained advisors Dr. Gary Rutherford and Dr. Suzette Lovely from Education Support Services (ESS) to engage in a confidential search to recruit the most highly qualified candidate for this position.
