Oak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of approximately 8,690 from grades TK-8. There are 15 elementary schools and 3 intermediate schools. Six out of seventeen schools receive Title I funds. Schools range from the highest student enrollment (730) to the lowest student enrollment (269). The percentage of English Learners is 29% representing 56 languages spoken in the district. Oak Grove School District’s focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) which identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. First and foremost in all activities is the safety of students as well as student success in the areas of math and reading/language arts interwoven with science, social studies and visual and performing arts. Student performance goals have been integrated into the state and federal accountability systems. Annually, the LCAP and SPSA's are updated with our students, staff and various community groups in keeping with our core values, the vision, and the annual goals. Oak Grove School District is seeking a communicative, collaborative, and effective leader to plan, organize, administer, and direct general operations and educational programs of an assigned school. Employees in this job class receive overall direction from the Superintendent within a broad framework of policies and objectives. Employees in this job class direct, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the work of others. This job class exercises responsibility for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of the school’s instructional programs and activities and for the management of school operations and facilities. This position is a member of the District Management Team and participates in the formulation and implementation of District policies.
