Job Details:
OFL is looking for an English Learner Specialist with a Single Subject credential. The English Learner Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
- Instruct English Learners and Standard English learners with English Language Development support in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening, using various teaching methods, audiovisual aids, and other materials.
- Manages the caseload of targeted students (approximately 50-75) and provides weekly interventions and instruction, as well as assessing and reporting back to regional leadership team the academic progress of each student on the caseload.
- Prepares the outline for course of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school.
- Administers ELPAC tests to evaluate pupil progress and records results.
- Develop an individualized academic plan for each EL student in their center.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS Degree required.
- California preliminary or clear single subject teaching credential required, English credential preferred.
- English Learner Authorization required.
- Bilingual preferred.
