Requirements / Qualifications

Under supervision of the Manager of Assessment and Accountability, performs a wide variety of duties related to the district assessment and accountability programs. DAA Technicians are cross-functional in ensuring site and district data integrity, support for implementing required protocols for all state and local assessments, and supporting site and district processes to meet or exceed accountability standards. Skills are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: knowledge of and experience in the use of the district SIS (Aeries), data warehouses (such as DataZone), assessment platforms (such as Edcite), and accountability and reporting sites (CALPADS, DTS, DataQuest, TOMS, etc.). Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school plus related college courses or practical experience in computer applications, report preparation, and state and federal accountability standards. Sufficient background and experience with data, assessment, accountability, and technology to perform necessary functions related to administering state and local assessments, verification of data integrity, results reporting, and data visualization. Familiarity with assessment tools and techniques. General awareness of statistical reporting procedures. At least two years of increasingly responsible technical experience involving public contact. California driver’s license required. Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese preferred.
