GROUNDSKEEPER 8 hours 12 months 7 am – 4 pm QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. 2. Perform a variety of grounds maintenance and gardening duties in the beautification of assigned grounds and landscaped areas. 3. Mow, edge, water, weed, fertilize, rake and cultivate lawns, flower beds, athletic fields and other landscaped areas. 4. Operate hand and power tools and other equipment used in grounds maintenance. 5. Learn to troubleshoot, maintain and repair/replace sprinklers, valves and controllers. 6. Sweep and maintain athletic fields. 7. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. 8. Maintain routine records. 9. Observe health and safety regulations. 10. Work cooperatively with others. 11. Valid first aid and CPR certificate issued by an authorized agency. 12. Valid Forklift Operator’s certification. 13. Valid California Class C driver’s license.
