"BIG PICTURE" RESPONSIBILITY: The position will include a combination of teaching, directorship of the physical therapist assistant program, department, college, and community leadership functions. This is an 11-MONTH professional, full-time tenure track position beginning in July 2022. The Faculty Director – Physical Therapist Assistant Program is responsible for the day-to-day management and activities in the program. Special functions include overseeing program development, obtaining and managing program accreditation, curriculum development, program assessment, class scheduling, budget planning, student advisement, student recruitment, appropriate record keeping, and teaching within the program. Assignment may include day, evening, and weekend duties at all District sites. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college; AND Five (5) years (or equivalent), full-time, post licensure experience that includes a three (3) years (or equivalent), full-time recent clinical experience within any US jurisdiction; AND One (1) year (or equivalent), full-time, didactic and/or clinical teaching experience; AND One (1) year (or equivalent), full-time, experience in administration/management; AND One (1) year (or equivalent), full-time, experience in contemporary educational theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation and outcome assessment, including the equivalent of nine credits of coursework in educational foundations, or previous CAPTE-granted exemption. Required licenses/certifications: Must be a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant who holds an active, unrestricted PT license or PTA license/certification in any United States jurisdiction and California.
