Description: The Calexico Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified educational leader to serve as Superintendent. Education Support Services (ESS) Group has been engaged by the District to assist with the recruitment, screening, and selection process. The District, located in Imperial County, is comprised of seven elementary schools serving students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade, two junior high schools serving seventh and eighth grades, one high school, and one alternative secondary education center. The District team includes 1,024 educators, administers and support staff whose primary goal is to enable the 8.800 students enrolled in our schools to achieve academic success. The District’s mission is to increase student achievement through a purposeful and effective instructional program that engages all students in academically rigorous learning. Parents, community and staff will work collaboratively to support students in achieving their personal, social and career goals.
Requirements / Qualifications
Desired Education/Qualifications: *Successful experience as a teacher, site administrator, and district office leader *Masters degree in Educational Administration or equivalent *Valid California Driver *Valid Clear California Administrative Services Credential *Strong fiscal, human resources, and instructional background *A record of focusing on students and improving outcomes for all students *Bilingual in Spanish is considered to be a benefit

SALARY AND CONTRACT:
The salary and work year will be competitive and negotiable and based upon qualifications and experience. A multi-year contract will be considered.
